Michael Punter: Playwright and Teacher
“Punter not only writes beautifully and intelligently, but he plays on the very idea of language”
(The Guardian on The Wolves)
My new play SKERRYVORE: A TALE OF TERROR will run in the atmospheric environs of the Old Operating Theatre at London Bridge in March 2018 before touring. It’s beautifully performed by Bill Allender and Rachel McCarron with a score by acclaimed musician Gary Ryan. You can book tickets for the London shows here.
2018 will be a busy year. As well as Skerryvore, The Lost Gospel of Pontius Pilate will tour to selected venues again. In summer, I’ll be performing sections from James Joyce’s Ulysses, working with artist Lucy Brennan-Shiel. Lucy took the photo above on Bloomsday 2017! I’ve also contributed to Palgrave’s forthcoming volume Contemporary Gothic, edited by Ben Poore and Kelly Jones, and introduced by a playwriting hero of mine: David Rudkin.
1066: Three Kings is now available to buy as a play-text. £8 inc. UK postage. Please send enquiries via this site.
